The reactions were performed at 30°C, 300 rpm, at pH of 8.0, by adding 1.98 g (10 mmol) of dl-menthyl acetate, 0.55 g immobilized BsE, and 15 mg surfactant into a mixture of 8 ml KPB (pH 8.0, 200 mM) and 2 ml n-pentanol for 48 h.
