Strip test of E. tarda EIB202 with turbot tissue homogenates and on-site detection of turbot ascite. (A) E. tarda EIB202 at various concentrations (1 to 107 CFU/ml) were pre-enriched with turbot tissue homogenates for 0 to 24 h before being applied to the strip. PBS was used as the blank sample. (B) Ascites of diseased turbot collected from an aquaculture farm (Shandong Province, China) numbered 1 to 20 were prepared and applied directly to the test strip. The concentrations of E. tarda in ascites ranged from 5.1 × 105 to 7.8×107 CFU/ml by DHL agar counting. PBS was used as the blank sample.
