Effect of sodium benzoate addition on thermal stability of crude cellulase enzyme from RS- and BG-grown culture extracts. The enzyme was incubated with 0.05% sodium benzoate at 37°C and residual FPase activity was measured at different time intervals. The activity corresponding to 100% residual activity at 0 h was 0.28 ± 0.02 U mL−1 in RS- and 0.35 ± 0.02 U mL−1 in BG-grown cells, respectively.
