Effects of various elicitors on accumulation of stilbene compounds in grapevine cell cultures. The cells were pre-cultured for 7 days and harvested 2 days after elicitation with the indicated elicitors. Samples were extracted with methanol and subjected to HPLC analysis. HPLC analysis was performed using a C18 reverse-phase column at 300 nm. Chromatograms t-RES and t-PIC represent the authentic standards trans-resveratrol and t-piceid with retention times of 17.200 and 13.568 min, respectively. Con, untreated control.
